Introduction of the Master
Master Mildred Mutya Nakamura
She is the founder and Head master instructor of Mutya Filipino Fighting Arts.
She has started learning martial arts at the age of 10, first the Mutya Family Fighting Art from her father, and later on mastered in many different styles of filipino martial arts, such as Modern Arnis, Kalis Ilustrisimo, Lightning, etc.
Before coming to Japan in 2008 she worked as an instructor of martial arts and weaponry at College of Criminology and Philippines Public College, Jail National Training Institute.
Master Mildred “Manami” Nakamura has been also practicing Okinawan martial arts for decades. She has the Kyoshi rank of Okinawa Gojyu Ryu Karate, 8th dan, and teaches Karate-jutsu and Kobujutsu at Kenshikai Kansai Headquarters.
Besides teaching members of the Mutya Filipino Fighting Arts Academy, Master also teaches the Japan Police and the Japan Self-Defense Forces.
